Students all over the United States took action by walking out of classes in mass to protest the inaction of Congress to pass gun control laws that would prevent mass shootings in America. This movement has grown since the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida where thirty four people were shot, seventeen fatally.
Following a moment of silence for the seventeen people killed in the Parkland shooting, Dos Pueblos High School students joined this national movement by walking out of class and marching to Girsh Park.
